A new warning from the City and County of Honolulu Friday about a possible scam involving its rental assistance program.
Officials say they received more than 20 calls Friday from people who saw postings online, claiming the city’s waitlist for rental assistance was open and people could pay $15 to apply.
The city says its not true.
The rental assistance program’s waitlist is closed and its always free to apply.
