Big Island: two retired police officers have been indicted

On the Big island, two retired police officers have been indicted in connection with a missing evidence case.

KHON2 News first mentioned in March of last year, that Big Island Police launched an investigation after finding some cocaine from the evidence room had gone missing.

The indictment against retired officer, Brian Miller charges him with multiple counts, including theft, evidence tampering, and drug promotion.

Retired officer, Chadwick Fukui, along with four civilians were also indicted on multiple counts including hindering prosecution and evidence tampering.

KHON2 reached out to the Big Island Police Department for comment, and is waiting to hear back.
