Ballot machines tested ahead of November election

Local News

We’re exactly one month away from the general election and Saturday the state elections office tested the voting machines .

Volunteers ran test ballots through the machines to ensure accuracy on Tuesday, November 6.

Chief election officer Scott Nago said, “This is step one in the process of securing our elections to make sure our democracy is secured. So people who say that our elections can be stolen. This actually prevents that.”

Tuesday, October 9, is the deadline to register to vote in the general election.

Drive-thru voter registration events are being held across the state. And like the primary election, you will be allowed to register to vote on election day.
