Attempted kidnapping suspect allegedly poked, grabbed girl

Court documents are revealing new information about an attempted kidnapping of a child at Lucky Strike in Ala Moana Center.

Jason Nolen, 45, was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and sex assault.

Nolen was arrested at his Chinatown apartment over the weekend.

Court documents say his resident manager saw the CrimeStoppers video on the news and recognized Nolen in the video.

When officers arrived at Nolen’s unit, they said his hair was cut and he was clean shaven, but still recognizable.

Court documents say that on March 19, Nolen followed a 9-year-old girl while she was playing games at Lucky Strike.

Nolen allegedly asked the girl if he could watch her play a game and court documents say “she allowed him to.”

But throughout the arcade, police say Nolen poked the girl about 5 times on her butt.

Police say the girl then went into a dark game booth and was followed by Nolen who grabbed her crotch area and lifted her off the ground.

The girl managed to kick him and run away.

Police say the girl identified Nolen in surveillance video recorded by Lucky Strike.

Nolen’s bail is confirmed at $300,000.
