There will be 128 1- , 2-, and 3-bedroom rental units available. Specifically, Hale Kewalo will offer 27 one-bedroom, 72 two-bedroom, and 29 three-bedroom units to families earning between 30 and 60 percent of the area median income.
The monthly rent for a one bedroom unit will range from $656 to $1,093. A two-bedroom unit will range from $787 to $1,575 per month. Rent for a three-bedroom unit will be $1,819 per month.
Utilities such as solar hot water heating, sewer, and trash collection are included in the total rent amount.
Tenants will be responsible for other utilities such as electricity, telephone, TV cable and internet. Small pet(s) are permissible.
The 11-story mid-rise residential tower will consist of 128 affordable rental apartments offering residents modern style accommodations with energy saving appliances, air-conditioning and solar water heating as well as bundled telephone, TV cable and internet.
Hale Kewalo will provide residents with an on-site management office, community lounge and recreation room with kitchen, and laundry facility.
Hale Kewalo will be managed by Hawaii Affordable Properties, Inc.
