Dozens of job seekers showed up at Aloha Stadium Thursday for the stadium’s pre-season job fair.
The stadium was looking to fill more than 90 part-time, intermittent “at-will” positions ahead of the upcoming football season.
Positions ranged from ushers and parking attendants, to cleanup helpers, nursing, video coordinators and ticket-sellers.
Many were hired on the spot.
“Our goal is to find people, first of all, that have great customer service skills, because that’s what we want. We want to make Aloha Stadium a place where people want to come and enjoy the day or whatever event that it is,” said deputy manager Ryan Andrews. “We want people that have those skills but also they can handle working in the elements. Rain or shine, we’re out here and we’re doing a lot of standing.”
The stadium has filled all but two categories: parking attendants and ushers. Applications can be downloaded online or picked up at the stadium’s security office.
“It’s part-time work. It’s seasonal work. So if you have a full-time job, that’s great. This is something you do on the weekends, mostly,” Andrews said.
