5.5 magnitude hits Kilauea, no tsunami threat

Officials say that there is no tsunami threat. after resdients on Hawaii Island got woken up overnight a 5.5 magnitude earthquake.

The earthquake hit just before 1 a.m. Wedenesday morning.

It was centered in the Hilina region of Kilauea Volcano, near the same general area where people saw so much volcanic activity last year.

No word yet on any possible damage.
