Local News

From Aikido to arts and crafts, from Okinawan dancing to dodgeball, the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has plenty of free classes and activities to offer this summer.

The registration period for free summer classes and programs begins this coming Monday, so make sure to check out what programs are being offered beforehand.

Online registration for free classes begins on Monday, April 15 at 9 a.m. and ends on Friday, April 19 at 11:59 p.m. You can access the registration page, which also contains the list of classes, by clicking here. All times indicated in this announcement are Hawai‘i Standard Time (HST).

Walk-in registration periods for paid classes, including our popular Summer Fun Program, begins in mid-May. A separate announcement about these classes and programs will be made as those registration dates draw near.

If you miss this online registration for free classes, you may also register for those classes, if space is available, during the walk-in registration periods. For more information concerning registration for all summer programs offered by DPR, please click here.
