Volunteer Week Hawaii, the largest volunteer campaign in the state has over 120 plus volunteer events, hosted by over 90 community organizations across 7 islands, from Sunday, April 7th to Saturday, 13, 2019.
National volunteer week started in 1974, under president Nixon and has been recognized by presidential proclamation every year since.
This is the first year that Hawaii’s governor and all four mayors have done the same.
It’s about building our community capacity, compassion, networks and relationships.
