New Car Share Program launches this Summer

A new Hui Car Share program, which launches later this Summer in Honolulu, will give folks all the benefits of owning a car without the cost or hassle.

It is station based, available 24/7, and allows customers the freedom and flexibility to use and pay for a car only when they need it.

It’s a program created by Servco and Toyota Connected.

The cost is still being worked out but according to Thor Toma, Senior Vice President of the Hui Car Share, users will be able to rent by the hour or day – and unlike traditional rental cars, gas and insurance will be included in the rate they see on their app.

He adds, “Everything is done through the smart phone. Make your reservation, lock and unlock the car, actually start the car, be on your way, and then end your reservation when you’re done.”
