Mental Health America of Hawaii has been around for 76 years.
They concentrate on three program areas, which includes education, advocacy, and service.
One of most popular programs is their Live Your Life Well program, which strives to help the larger community achieve mental wellness through some easy lifestyle changes to our everyday life.
Each year, Mental Health America holds an art event to raise awareness and support.
This year it’s on October 18th at Café Julia at the YWCA, starting at 5pm.
There will be food, drinks, interactive art displays, and local artist Boz Schurr will unveil art work that was created for Mental Health America of Hawaii.
People will can also learn more about how art impacts mental health and even create their own art, or at least acquire some art.
