The Miss Hawaii USA 2019 competition is happening Sunday, November 18th at the Hawaii Convention Center.

All week long we are featuring various contestants and asking them a couple of our own questions.

Brittany Ann Payne – Miss Ko’olina
Occupation:  Deckhand/Rescue Diver; Live-in Veteran Affairs Caregiver
Age:  26

What do you like to do for fun?
Adding to the list of countries I’ve backpacked.  I enjoy diving for marine debris, beach clean ups, advocating for sustainable living, kickboxing, and kayaking.

Halia Parish – Miss West Oahu
Occupation:  I own a fashion business called MyTita & Theatrical Performer
Age:  26

What do you like to do for fun?
I love doing fun activities with my family.  We often enjoy water sports (jet skis and surfing), playing music together and singing until the sun sets.

Tasha Rose Miyataki – Hawaii Island
Occupation:  Target Executive, Human Resources
Age:  25

What do you like to do for fun?
I love dancing hula, spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, and watching sports, especially baseball.

Tiare Brown – Kahala
Occupation:  Third Party IVF Nurse Coordinator and Research Coordinator at The Fertility Institute of Hawaii
Age:  26

What do you like to do for fun?
Dance! In particular I love ballet, hula, and hiphop which I started at age 4.  I also enjoy cooking and spending time with my family.
