Spike & Serve’s Director/Founder US Beach Volleyball Olympian Kevin Wong as born on O’ahu & raised in Pearl City.
A Punahou graduate, Kevin went to UCLA where he majored in business & economics.
At UCLA he was a 3-time All American & helped his team win two NCAA Championships.
Following his dream to be an Olympic athlete, he represented the USA in the Sydney Olympic Games.
His professional beach volleyball career spanned 15 years during which he won the coveted “King of the Beach” title and the “Wimbeldon of Beach Volleyball” the Manhattan Beach Open, twice.
In 2001 he was ranked #1 in the world.
Returning home to Hawai’i, he began volunteer coaching at a public school where he found his love for children, coaching, and giving back.
This is where the idea of “Spike & Serve” began: Serving the children and the community.
Kevin is a sports analyst for NBC, NBCSN, PAC 12 Network, Spectrum OC16 & OC Sports.
He is also a public motivational speaker.
