The best chance to survive any cancer is to catch it early. Today, we’re learning about cervical cancer. Dr. Richard Lee, Radiation Oncologist at Cancer Center of Hawaii, has information on the latest screening guidelines and treatments available.

American Cancer society recommends women begin PAP smears at the age of 21. For women ages 21-29, they recommend PAP smears every 3 years. For women ages 30-64, every 5 years, though every 3 years is acceptable. If no abnormal results prior, screening can be stopped at the age of 65.
