Kailua is the main attraction in the new February issue of Honolulu Magazine.
It’s a subject close to the heart of Editor-at-Large and Kailua girl, Robbie Dingeman.
Dingeman enjoyed featuring the Best of Kailua Town from long-time restaurants like Cinnamon’s to the newcomers Maui Brewing, Goen Dining + Bar, and popular brunch spot Over Easy, which is the first restaurant by husband-wife duo Nik and Jen Lobendahn.
The February issue also digs into Kailua’s biggest challenges with the rise in visitors and traffic.
Dingeman talked about interesting discoveries such as a royal residence near what we now know as Kalama Beach and a World War II prisoner-of-war camp full of Italian soldiers.
Also in the February Issue, 13 great bakery treats you probably haven’t tried and 7 local podcasts to listen to now.
Honolulu Magazine is also teaming up with American Savings Bank for Brunchfest.
Koko Head Cafe, Scratch Kitchen, Café Kaila, and Pipeline Bakery invite you to enjoy brunch and mimosas.
Brunchfest will be held on March 24th at 11am on the front lawn of the Hawaii State Art Museum.
