This Saturday, March 24, is Hawaii Junior Golf Day.

The Hawaii State Junior Golf Association is celebrating with a fun and free introductory golf experience for juniors of any age.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with clinics held from 9 to 11 a.m. at 15 golf courses across the state.

HSJGA executive director, Matt Rollins, and two junior golfers, Tyler Tamayori and Kate Nakaoka, chat about the event with Living808.

“They learn so many great things from the game,” Rollins said. “They learn sportsmanship. They learn a little bit about rules and etiquette. They learn how to problem-solve out on the golf course, and obviously, they get to travel.”
