Hawaii Island Week: Mauna Kea Golf Course

For more than 50 years, the golf course at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on Hawaii Island has led the way in golf course beauty and design, solidifying its place in Hawaii’s history as one of the most scenic and popular golf courses.

Now, there’s a new way to experience the golf course. It’s called a GolfBoard, and it’s a fun new way to make your way around the golf course.

Josh Silliman, director of golf, says the GolfBoard is not only a fun alternative to riding a golf cart, it also has other benefits, like increasing the pace-of-play and reducing the course wear-and-tear.

In addition to showing her how to ride the GolfBoard, Silliman also takes Trini to one of their most popular holes on the golf course, Hole #3.

According to Silliman, Hole #3 is special because it’s one of the most beautiful holes in the world. It was also christened 50 years ago by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player.Related Link:
