Are you worried that you’re not getting enough fresh vegetables in your diet?

There’s a new way to have your cake, and eat it too, literally.

The veggie-deco salad is the food craze from Japan that makes eating your veggies fun.

Creator Mitsuki Moriyasu was inspired to create the salad cake from her experience being a mom.  

“The reason I decided to create this salad was when I was raising my two boys who had some food allergies,” Moriyasu explained.

“I felt the importance of choosing healthy food. I was thinking how to make them eat vegetables deliciously. I thought that if I make a salad which looks like cake, it would be fun to eat.”

The veggie-deco salad is packed with fresh vegetables that arranged in colorful layers and surrounded by sponge made from soybean flour.

The icing is made from tofu, so it’s sugarless and gluten free.

While the salad is currently only served at Moriyasu’s restaurant in Nagoya, Japan, you can sample this healthy and delicious treat this Saturday, Oct. 6th at Bernini restaurant.

The event is happening from 11 p.m. to 2 p.m. and costs $25 per person.
