The 16th Annual Maui Film Festival kicks off tonight in Wailea. For the next five days, it will be a celebration of cinema and culinary arts as the festival takes over Maui.
This year’s festivities will feature dozens of must-see films, as well as three incredible culinary events that will feature some of Maui’s finest cuisine. And of course, the Maui Film Festival is also known for attracting A-list stars, this year, actors Collin Farrell, Lara Dern, and rising stars Scott Eastwood, Teresa Palmer, and Adam Driver will all be honored at the festival.

Grammy Award winner John Fogerty will be in concert this Friday, June 5 at the Blaisdell Arena and on Saturday, June 6 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.

The Battleship Missouri Memorial is kicking off summer with an event called “Picnic on the Pier.” The public is invited to bring an entire picnic spread of food and drinks for a picnic style evening on the pier where the USS Missouri is docked.
Guests will also be treated to fun and entertainment, which includes music by Jeremy Cheng, raffle giveaways, activities for kids and limited tours of the Mighty Mo.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. There is an admission charge and presale tickets are available online.

The Hawaii Symphony Orchestra will be having their season finale this weekend with a historic performance featuring ukulele sensation Jake Shimabukuro and conductor JoAnn Falletta.
