Gourmet food with a focus on fresh local cuisine is on the inflight menu for Alaska Airlines passengers.

Alaska has an award-winning onboard food and beverage program that’s inspired by the airline’s roots on the West Coast and the vibrant food scene in cities like Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Alaska Airline’s latest menu features fresh ingredients that define the West Coast, such as berries and avocados, artisan breads and feel-good snacks that you can purchase, including vegan/dairy-free popcorn, low-calorie dark chocolate almonds, organic potato chips and all-natural beef jerky.

All items are available for pre-order via the Alaska Airlines mobile app, so guests can ensure their meal of choice is reserved on their next flight. I

Just download the Alaska Airlines mobile app, look for the “Food menu” option in your flight details, choose what you’d like, and your flight attendant will deliver it to your seat during the food and drink service.

Popular menu items that can be ordered on your flights between Hawai’i and the West Coast include:

Fresh Start Protein Platter  
Greek yogurt, walnuts, almonds, seasonal fruit, Beecher’s Flagship cheese, a cage-free hard-boiled egg, pita, and non-GMO turkey.

Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich
Thick cut smoked bacon and Havarti are paired with honey butter and apricot preserves, with pickled onions on the side.

Fall Harvest Salad
Maple-miso roasted sweet potatoes, quinoa, feta, and rotisserie chicken rest on a bed of baby spinach, with tasty avocado coconut curry dressing on the side.

Charge Up Protein Platter
Keep your energy up throughout the day with lemon beet hummus, pita, Beecher’s Flagship cheese, all-natural grilled chicken, almonds, a cage-free hard-boiled egg, and seasonal fruit.

Artisan Chicken Pesto Sandwich
Fire-roasted chicken, pesto, provolone cheese, roasted red peppers and arugula on focaccia bread, with bright lemon aioli on the side.

Signature Fruit and Cheese Platter 
Two wedges of hand-cut Beecher’s Flagship cheese, crafted in the heart of Seattle’s Pike Place Market, along with Classic Tillamook® Sharp Cheddar, and creamy brie. Perfectly paired with crisp Partners® crackers, apples, grapes, and a decadent Seattle Chocolate truffle.

A new Spring Menu debuts March 16, including these dishes:

Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich 
Egg salad (made with cage-free eggs, mayo, mustard, pepper, paprika & chive), thick-cut shoulder bacon and frisee lettuce on an everything ciabatta bun.

Turkey Provolone Sandwich 
Smoked turkey breast, smoked provolone cheese, artichoke spread, roma tomatoes, cucumber and arugula on a ciabatta roll, with scallion aioli on the side and a Seattle Chocolate truffle.

Lemongrass Chicken Chopped Salad 
Lemongrass chicken breast, cucumber, bibb lettuce, Napa cabbage, carrots, scallions, slivered almonds, grape tomatoes, cilantro and sesame seeds, with sesame honey vinaigrette dressing on the side.

Alaska Airlines offers daily nonstop service to San Diego from Lihue, Honolulu, Kahului, and Kona.
