Newly graduated single mother of two asks for clothes, books, gas card

KHON2 is once again partnering with Keiki O Ka Aina for our Laulima Giving Program. Every day, we’ll share a story of a family or someone who may be going through a rough time and could use some help this holiday season.

A local single-mother of two girls, ages 11 and two, is working hard to make ends meet.

Their father is incarcerated.

Mom just graduated with her bachelor’s degree this month and is looking for work.

She’s been earning some income by starting her own small business selling jewelry and her parents are helping with housing.

They could all use clothes, shoes and slippers, and her 11-year-old daughter, a great soccer player, also would love Harry Potter books. Her 2-year-old loves books and princess toys.

As for Mom, a gas card would be greatly appreciated.

In the spirit of Laulima, let’s help this family that’s on their way, but could use a little lift this holiday season.
