HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Maui Police Department announced that one of their own 13-year veteran officers has been placed on administrative leave after being involved in a sexual assault investigation.
MPD said the 35-year-old Wailuku officer also had his credentials and firearm temporarily removed after being arrested on Monday.
The department then confirmed that the male officer was released pending investigation.
