More arrested, cited as HPD enforcement for stay at home order continues

Lawmaker wants Honolulu police officers to retire after certain age

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department released their stay-at-home order enforcement update on Wednesday, April 8.

HPD says that as of April 8, 5,248 warnings have been issued, police have given 700 citations, and 41 have been arrested.

This enforcement follows the statewide emergency order that requires the public to remain at home and work from home.
