Maui police employee tests positive for COVID-19

WAILUKU, Hawaii (KHON2) — The Maui Police Department (MPD) reported that an employee out of the Wailuku District tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, Jan. 25.

The employee last worked on Friday, Jan. 22, and is asymptomatic, according to MPD. The employee will remain in isolation at home until being cleared by the Department of Health.

All common areas in the police station are being professionally disinfected and sanitized.
