Hawaii reports 756 COVID cases, two new deaths

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) reports 756 new coronavirus cases, and two new deaths on Monday, Sept. 6.

There are 473 coronavirus cases on Oahu, 119 on the Big Island, 65 on Kauai, 85 on Maui, and 14 residents diagnosed out of state.

That brings the state total to 68,265.

The two new deaths includes a male from Oahu, 60-69 yrs, with underlying conditions, who was hospitalized.

The second death involves a female, from the Hawaii island, 80-89 yrs, with underlying conditions, also hospitalized.

The state death toll rises to 626.

The state stands at 63.8% of vaccinated residents.
