Hawaii reports 565 COVID cases, 1 new death


HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) reports 565 new coronavirus cases and one new death on Tuesday, Aug. 24.

There are 370 coronavirus cases on Oahu, 100 on the Big Island, 17 on Kauai, 70 on Maui and eight resident diagnosed out of state.

That brings the state total to 57,235.

The state death toll remains at 565.

The state stands at 62% of vaccinated residents.
