Hawaii reports 289 COVID cases, 8 new deaths

HONOLULU (KHON2) —  The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) reports 289 new coronavirus cases and 8 new deaths on Thursday, Feb. 24.

There are 201 coronavirus cases on Oahu, 38 on the Big Island, eight on Kauai, two on Lanai, 27 on Maui, two on Molokai and 11 diagnosed out of state.

That brings the state total to 235,124.

The state death toll rose to 1,312.

The state stands at 76.3% of vaccinated residents.
