Chris Latronic is proud to join the KHON2 Ohana as the Traffic Reporter for Wake Up 2Day.
“I still can’t believe I actually work at KHON2! I remember being a little keiki watching Joe Moore on television and never thought of ever doing anything like what he does. Now I’m here, a surfer boy from the North Shore… I am BEYOND STOKED!” he said.
Living on Oahu’s North Shore most of his life, Chris knows all about a long commute. He aims to help other commuters by sharing need to know information to stay out of gridlock and save precious time.
When he’s not on air or on the road, Chris is in the water. Surfing is his passion and before coming to KHON2 it was his job. For more than a decade, he’s been sharing surf stories on Board Stories, a locally produced television show. More recently, he has also been the Editor at Large at Freesurf Magazine, another surf-focused local publication.
A second passion for Chris is acting. He’s starred in the award-winning film, “The Haumana” as well as a number of television shows. He also earned a degree in Creative Media from the University of Hawaii at Manoa after graduating from Kahuku High School. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his son, Luke.
