The National Weather Service Forecast Office Honolulu has issued a flash flood watch for Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau starting Friday afternoon.
A cold front approaching from the northwest will trigger increased showers, some heavy, along with a slight chance of thunderstorms for Kauai, Niihau, and Oahu.
The flash flood watch will be in effect from Friday afternoon through 6 a.m. Sunday.
A flash flood watch means conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding.
It does not have to be raining heavily where you are for flash flooding to occur.
