SURPRISE, Ariz. - The Hawai'i Pacific and BYU-Hawaii women's tennis teams earned berths in the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship National Semifinals on Thursday, May 9, by routing their respective opponents.
The Sea Warriors defeated Southwest Baptist 5-1, while BYU-Hawaii blanked California University of Pennsylvania 5-0. This marks the second time in school history that HPU has reached the National Semifinals.
HPU will play Armstrong on Friday, May 10, at 1 p.m. MST for the right to move to the championship. BYU-Hawaii will take on Abilene Christian also at 1 p.m.
Live stats will be available for both matches.
The winners of the semifinals will meet on Saturday, May 11, for the National Championship.

One person is dead following a plane crash in waters off Kalaupapa, Molokai, according to Maui Fire Department officials.
There's a grinch at the Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery. At least, that's what those who have loved ones buried there are saying. They've been told their holiday decorations at gravesites will have to come down.
