A jury will now decide the fate of a man accused of killing a Honolulu police officer two years ago.
James Dorsey, 22, is being tried for negligent homicide in the death of HPD officer Eric Fontes.
In Sept. 2011, Fontes was performing a traffic stop on Farrington Highway near Ko Olina.
Dorsey's car veered off the road, hitting Fontes and another officer. The other officer survived.
Dorsey's attorney says her client fell asleep at the wheel and doesn't remember what happened.
Closing arguments were presented in court Friday.
If convicted, Dorsey could spend up to 10 years in prison.
