The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transit has one final hurdle to clear in a legal challenge that brought the project to a halt for a year.
On Tuesday, HART filed a notice of compliance in District Court. In it, HART told the court that it has done everything it was asked to do regarding additional work on alternatives to the rail route.
"My request at this point is to ask those who want to bring more lawsuits to slow the project down to step aside. Allow us to complete this project, not to run up additional attorneys fees," Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said.
Work on the project resumed in west Oahu after an archeological inventory survey was completed.
The court still needs to sign off on allowing work on the town portion of the route.
The plaintiffs have 30 days to appeal.
