A 23-year-old Kailua man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Kaneohe.
According to the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, the crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. Monday on the Kamehameha Highway on-ramp to the H-3 Freeway.
Honolulu police say the motorcyclist lost control and struck the guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the victim was wearing a helmet.
Officials say speed is a possible factor in the crash.
This is the 47th traffic fatality on Oahu for this year, compared to 47 at this time last year.
