Morning NewsHawaii's Own Sister Act
The St. Francis School Show Choir is getting ready to perform for one of the world's biggest religious leaders, Pope Benedict.
They will be traveling to Australia for World Youth Day on July 15. The event some describe as the "Catholic Woodstock." Though the show choir formed just last year, they've been invited to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of people, including Pope Benedict and hundreds of cardinals and bishops. There is only one other school from Hawaii that will be heading to Australia -- Holy Trinity. The students hope the pope will enjoy their performances. Any kind of recognition would be music to their ears. We get a short preview this morning on our Morning Show with Manolo. |
