Waialua High & Intermediate teacher honored

A teacher at Waialua High and Intermediate school received a surprise from the Governor today.

The Milken Family National Educator award with $25,000 dollars goes to Mr. Glenn Lee," says Governor Neil Abercrombie.

Glenn Lee has spent 18-years at Waialua, most recently as the lead coordinator of the school's robotics program.

He is the state's only recipient of this years award and the $25,000 dollar check.

"This is a special thanks to all my colleagues and friends who I truly respect and I thank you for all you have done sot his award goes out to all of you," says Glenn Lee, 2011 Milken award winner.

Lee says he plans to save the money for his daughter's college education.
