Lawyers for the Honolulu Symphony are set to appear in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Monday.
They're expected to ask a judge to convert the symphony's Chapter 11 reorganization to a Chapter 7 liquidation.
Under a Chapter 7 liquidation, the symphony would be allowed to close down and sell off all of its remaining assets, which would mean the end of the 110-year-old symphony.
The Honolulu Symphony has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for about a year.
