Avoid the H-1 at the Airport Viaduct Sunday night. Roadway crews will shut down three westbound left lanes for roadway deck repairs.

They may also close three right lanes of Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction to give a safety zone for overhead workers.

Try using the H-2 instead.

The closures will happen from 6 to 9 p.m.

The state Department of Transportation will close two left westbound lanes of the H-1 in Kaimuki on Saturday and Sunday for pavement maintenance.

The cones will start at the Kilauea Avenue off and last till the King Street off.

Closures start at 7 a.m. and last until 6 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, closures will start at 7 a.m. And last until Monday at 5 a.m.

How will using the H-2 help with traffic on the viaduct near the airport?
