The State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers (SHOPO) today officially endorsed Kirk Caldwell for Honolulu Mayor.
"I am honored and humbled to have the support and endorsement of the men and women who protect and serve our communities," said Caldwell.
SHOPO represents over 2,000 members on Oahu.
Caldwell will likely face four other challengers in the mayoral race, including Prosecutor Peter Carlisle.Mayor Mufi Hannemann is expected to resign on Tuesday to run for governor.
