Child Abuse Prevention Month has been observed each April for over 25 years.
This annual event is the state's highlight of the month-long series of events that highlight this issue.
There will be local entertainment, costume characters and free parenting tips this Saturday at Pearlridge Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first 500 families to make a teddy bear donation will receive a special gift and child-safety information.
