Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii is holding their 13th Annual Teddy Bear Round-Up and Family Resource Fair this Saturday.

Aileen Deese with Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii stopped by Wake Up 2day with more information.

More than 5,000 bears are needed for abused and neglected keiki.

Child Abuse Prevention Month has been observed each April for over 25 years.

This annual event is the state's highlight of the month-long series of events that highlight this issue.

There will be local entertainment, costume characters and free parenting tips this Saturday at Pearlridge Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KHON2's weather anchor Justin Cruz will be hosting the event.

The first 500 families to make a teddy bear donation will receive a special gift and child-safety information.
