They call themselves Team Hawaii.
They are six Kapiolani Community College culinary students with high hopes of being crowned national champions.
On Wednesday, team members showcased their western regional championship trophy captured last month in Seattle.
They are now preparing for the nationals next month in Orlando, Florida.
"It's absolutely phenomenal -- we're proud of the team, we're proud of what they've accomplished and we all know they have a lot of work yet to do,” said KCC professor, Frank Leake.
The team needs to raise $40,000 to cover the costs of the competition.
