Hundreds of Hyatt Waikiki employees walked off the job today.

It was part of a one day strike against the hotel.

Workers say they want hotel management to stop outsourcing their jobs and want their fair share for their hard work.

"What we want to do is keep quality work in the islands and service our guests with the aloha spirit," said Suzanne Benson, who has worked at the Hyatt for 26 years.

The hotel issued a statement saying they have pursued union contract negotiations for about a year.

They say it is the union leadership that has chosen to stage demonstrations rather than meet at the bargaining table.

I always wonder what makes a comment so hard to understand? It's in simple English as to who is who. Unless one wears blinders to what is what!

Can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. There are many people out of jobs would gladly step in. Union or not, they best think what they are doing. Easy to be unemployed.
