A printing problem has been found with some absentee ballots that were mailed to voters in Windward Oahu.

Several names of democratic candidates are missing on the ballots that were sent to the 25th Senate District, which includes parts of Kailua, Waimanalo and Hawaii Kai.

Ballots that have already been filled out and sent in will be considered spoiled and will not be counted.

The Office of Elections is in the process of sending out letters explaining the problem along with a corrected ballot.

But the voting machines are working. Duh? I can see why our education system is so low, no one proof reads and just accept that all is OK. Paper cost money as if it grew on trees. Ha ha ha

So who was responsible for overseeing / proofreading ? The election office ? Whoever it was clearly needs to be replaced. More tax payer $$ down the drain . How much did it cost us to send a letter of explaination & to reprint the ballots ?
