"We're especially proud of our Back to School Project in that it provides backpacks and school supplies to children whose families cannot afford them," said President Alfred Herrera. "The backpacks are filled with items that allow the children to start the new school year with comfort and confidence, and we're so very appreciative of the community's ongoing support. We really can not do it without them."
Once the supplies are in hand, CAH volunteers assemble the backpacks, which are then distributed to sexually abused children and their siblings.
Those interested in making a monetary donation or contributing needed supplies are asked to contact Cristine Reeves at 599-2955 ext. 202 or reeves@cahawaii.org <mailto:reeves@cahawaii.org>. For more information about the project and CAH, please visit www.cahawaii.org <http://www.cahawaii.org>.
