A freeway on-ramp is closed tonight after a car accident that left a utility pole leaning.
The accident happened on Waialae avenue about 8:30 p.m. Friday night, when an SUV struck a utility pole.
There were no serious injuries.
But clearing the scene, and safety concerns because of the leaning pole have closed Waialae in both directions between 16th Avenue and Ekaha street.
The westbound on ramp near Kahala Mall is also closed.
Hawaiian Electric crews are working to stabilize the leaning pole.
