North Kohala fire officials say the fire started around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the fire started on the south end of Lapakahi State Park.

Traffic on Kawaihae Road (Route 19) between the 65 and 66 mm was reduced to one lane as crews fought the blaze.

The fire consumed about 15-20 acres.

No one was injured or evacuated from the area.
