Finding a Wedding Dress Without Breaking the Bank

By Tannya Joaquin

It's the most expensive piece of clothing you'll only wear once. Wedding dresses can set you back thousands of dollars, but you can still dress to impress, for less.

A bride's fairytale wedding starts with the perfect dress. This Demetrius Princess tulle, corset bodice gown sales for 23 hundred, but you may see something similar in the designer's lower cost line.

"The one in the front is about 875. Beautiful lace, chantilly lace, crystal embellishments on it so you still can get something really quality that doesn't break the bank."

The Bridal Boutique caters to brides of all budgets. Gown rentals and sales start at 400 dollars. These couture gowns go up to 35-hundred dollars.

Co-owner Cecilia Domingo showed us what's in with island brides.

"Hawaii brides they like light weight dresses."

Like this burnt out organza gown, selling for 850 dollars.

"Fabrication is silk. It has beads, pearls, sequins for accents. Gorgeous, gorgeous gown," said Domingo. "Sashes are still very popular. Colors, light colors, but can't go wrong with the buttons. It's a real classic look."

Belts are big too.

"Big belts on gowns with rhinestones, pearls, and sequins," said Domingo.

Ruching's another hot trend.

"It's a good shape for most figures. Hour glass or if you don't have a lot here, have too much here, it kind of puts it all together," said Domingo.

"I could wear this all day," said one bride.
