A female inmate was found dead in her cell Saturday morning.
A public safety spokesperson says the 56-year-old woman was being held at the Oahu Community Correctional Center on terroristic threatening, assault, and violation of a temporary restraining order.
She was brought to the facility on March 27 and was under suicide watch from May 2 to May 7 and then put back into the general prison population when she committed suicide.
Correctional officers found her while performing a routine cleaning.
The woman's identity and how she died is not being released.
