Lane closures along the H-1 freeway from Pearl City to Waipahu, coupled with the wet weather on Sunday is leading to a traffic mess on the H-1. At about 3:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a check of traffic cameras show the back up on the freeway all the way from Aiea to pass Waipahu in the ewa-bound direction.
Traffic heading into town is also slow from the H-1/H-2 merge to Waimalu.
The wet weather is also forcing motorists to slow down. The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Oahu until 6:15 p.m. Radar shows heavy rain moving into the southern portions of Oahu.
