A family visiting the islands had their rental car broken into Saturday.
The tourists were taking family photos near Makai Pier in Waimanalo, when a thief or thieves broke into their car stealing a wallet, jewelry, and their son's prescription contacts.
The 11-year-old boy depends on them to do many outdoor activities, including snorkeling, one of his favorite things to do in Hawaii.
