A woman is recovering after being shot in the head in Makaha and the shooter is still on the loose.
It happened just before 5 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Farrington Highway and Keaau Homestead Road.
Officials say the 43-year-old woman was in her car when she was shot.
Paramedics took her to the hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police are now looking for a woman in connection with the shooting. They believe she took off in a white Ford Ranger single-cab pickup truck.
Police have launched an attempted murder case.
